Community

If you’re looking for fellowship, we’ve got you covered. We host youth groups for high schoolers and middle schoolers, provide support groups and bible studies for women and men, and even have community garden plots for rent. That’s in addition to parish-wide events hosted throughout the year.

Not seeing what you need on this page? One of the best ways to become a member of community is by serving common interests. We have opportunities to serve the Lord, our parish, our community, and even the worldThere’s a place for everyone at Pax Christi!

  • Bridge Group

Our Bridge Group provides an opportunity for socialization with other members of our community. Bridge is a trick-taking card game using a standard 52-card deck. In its basic format, it is played by four players in two competing partnerships, with partners sitting opposite each other around a table. All are welcome, singles and couples. We meet on the first Monday of the month from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Great Hall. Contact Terry Neuhalfen at 303-791-3850 for more information or to join.

  • Card-Making Ministry

We meet once every month to create hand-made greeting cards for the parish staff to send to members as needed. Examples include sympathy cards, thank you cards, birthday cards, and more. Bring your card-making supplies, or use ours! In addition to spreading the love of Christ to those who receive our cards, this ministry is also a great way to make new friends and flex your creativity. Feel free to stop by one of our meetings on the 1st Wednesday of the Month from 1-3PM in the Great Hall, or contact Mary Ellen McMillan for more information.

  • Connections Ministry

    Formerly the Newcomers Ministry

Help us welcome new parishioners to our Pax Christi Community! Volunteers greet incoming parishioners and encourage them to become active in parish life at Pax Christi. Ministers introduce new members to fellow parishioners, provide information about Pax Christi ministries and faith formation opportunities, give a Pax Christi campus tour, and answer questions. For more information or to join the Connections Ministry, contact Marianne Stauber at 720-560-2427 .

  • Feast & Friendship

Would you like to build stronger community and friendships here at Pax Christi? Join our Feast & Friendship Group! Small groups of 6-8 people meet once a month to share a meal with fellow parishioners. Group members will host about once every 4 months, depending on how many people join, and everyone attending will be responsible to bring a portion of the shared meal. This ministry is open to both couples and singles. Please contact Marianne Stauber at 720-560-2427 with questions or to join.

  • Mah Jongg

Build community while playing a fun game with other parishioners! Meets on 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month. Contact Celeste Lafferty at 303-506-7691 for more information or to join.

  • Point Men

Point Men helps men grow in spirituality and faith while developing friendships. We also strive to develop disciples who go out and teach other men ways to deal with the adverse effects of modern-day society through the fellowship of other men’s experiences. A typical agenda includes 10-15 minutes of fellowship and breakfast, introduction and opening prayer, a 20-30 minute video, a 20-30 minute small group discussion, and closing prayer/dismissal. We invite all adult men to join us on Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. For more information or to join, contact Alan Brown at 720-560-3357.

  • Spirit Gardens

Spirit Gardens help build community, promote simplicity in living, grow nutritious food, and praise our Creator God. Gardening plots on the Pax Christi campus are available for rental annually. Each plot is $55 per year. Bring your own tools; water is provided. Spring clean up day for the gardens is always in early May. General expectations will be emailed for those interested. Contact Don Baker at shadykb@gmail.com for more information or to reserve your plot.

  • Pickleball Ministry

The Pax Christi Churches Pickleball Team gathers each week for friendly competition, community, and plenty of laughs. Games rotate between different local courts, giving everyone a chance to play, meet new people, and enjoy a variety of venues.

To stay up to date on weekly locations, game times, and any schedule changes, be sure to join the group on Flock Notes. It’s the easiest way to stay connected and never miss a match.

If you’re interested in joining or have any questions, reach out to Darrell Windes or Diane Windes, who helps coordinate the team and welcomes new players of all skill levels.

Whether you’re a seasoned player or just curious about trying something new, you’re invited to come out and play. The team would love to have you on the court.

  • Faith and Light Ministry

Faith and Light is an international organization that believes the person who is weak and/or disabled, who is otherwise discounted in society, can become a source of unity in which we discover the presence of the risen Jesus. We are a community of persons with an intellectual disability, their families, and friends who meet each month to get to know each other better, learn from the Gospel, and share a meal together.  Our Pax Christi Faith and Light community, known as the “Friend Ship”.

Come and See! Please contact Bob Barnstable for more information.

  • Blood Drive Ministry

The Pax Christi Churches Blood Drive Ministry brings our community together in a powerful way—by giving the gift of life. Each blood drive offers parishioners and neighbors the opportunity to donate blood, support local hospitals, and make a meaningful difference for patients in need.

This ministry doesn’t just rely on donors. Volunteers play an essential role in making each event run smoothly. We’re looking for helping hands to assist with setting up and breaking down tables, chairs, and equipment.

Even a small amount of time makes a big impact.

If you’d like to donate blood, volunteer, or simply learn more, please reach out to Maggie Thomas at (303) 506-8805. Your generosity truly saves lives.
